Outoor Theatre

Located on
nearly eight acres in the heart of Hermann Park, Miller Outdoor
Theatre is the only free open-air theatre of its kind in the United

Houston Center for the Arts
In
1993, the city bought the historic Star Engraving Building with
the purpose of developing it into the Houston Center for the
Arts (HCA). Stages
Repertory Theatre, a performing arts company for adult original
works and children's theater, resides at this location, 3201
Allen Parkway. The Houston
Arts Alliance moved into the building in 1996 and occupies
a substantial portion of the facility. The Bayou Preservation
Alliance also calls HCA home. The 46,741 square foot building
is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

Talento
Bilingüe de Houston

Founded
in 1977 as "Teatro Bilingüe de Houston" (Bilingual
Theater of Houston), this non-profit organization has evolved
into a Latino Cultural Arts Center that has offered programs and
activities such as mariachi, ballet folklorico, video and film
production, professional theater, art exhibitions, festivals,
and photography. Talento Bilingüe de Houston is located in
a 16,000-square-foot facility leased from the Houston First Corporation.
The facility has a 300-seat theater, rehearsal room, art exhibit
and gallery space, gift shop, video and film editing suite, photograph
and darkroom space.

Theater District Parking

Theater District
Parking is a vital, hidden asset that serves Houston's central
business district round the clock. The garage spans 18 underground
blocks and consists of 3,369 parking spaces. At street level,
the garage is situated below Jones Plaza, Bayou Place and Tranquillity
Park.
